1. Who we are
MYLUMERA TECHNOLOGIES OPC, trading as Classbook, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at support@mylumera.net.
2. Data we collect and why
Account data (name, email address, login credentials, Google account identifier when you sign in with Google) — to create and secure your account and provide the service. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
Content you enter (class, course and workspace details, student numbers and names, attendance, scores, grades, uploaded materials and questions) — stored so we can provide the class record service to you. You are the one who decides what student information to enter; we process it on your instruction. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
Usage and technical data (IP address, device and browser information, log and error data, timestamps of changes recorded in the audit log) — for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and improving the product. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable service.
Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interest and contract performance.
Subscription records (plan, status, billing period) — to give you access to paid features. Card details are never collected or stored by us; they are handled by Paddle.
We do not use your class records or student data for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
3. Who we share data with
Service providers and subprocessors, limited to what is needed to run Classbook:
- Cloud hosting, database, authentication and file storage providers
- Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing
- Error monitoring and analytics tooling
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary
- Authorities where required by law
4. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. Retention
We keep account and class data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account or ask us to close it, data is deleted or anonymised within 90 days, except where we must keep records longer for tax, accounting or legal reasons.
6. Your rights
Subject to your local law (including the Philippine Data Privacy Act and, where it applies, the GDPR) you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing; you may withdraw consent where we rely on it, and complain to your data protection authority. Email support@mylumera.net and we will respond within one month.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit, row-level database rules so each instructor can only reach their own records, private file storage with short-lived signed links, and access controls on our systems.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences such as your table or card view. We do not use advertising cookies. Our payment provider may set cookies needed to complete checkout. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the service will not work while signed out.
9. Changes
If we update this notice we will change the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
